Don't actually have any beat-match etc. software, so I just used a copy of Final Cut Pro, since I'm fairly proficient with it. Did intuitive beat matching with slowing up/down + minor edits and then used (I think GarageBand?) pitch shift effect.

I think these are more musical in their commentary -- Miley sounds more natural in front of the ska, and the Hammer thang complements Britney in a way that the synth prod on the original doesn't. (Feels a bit less like being hit in the head with a sledgehammer.) (We need to catch up by the way, life is finally starting to slow down a bit again...)
