Should have been more careful with &quot;quirky&quot; in the title, but I think Marling is operating on the same wavelength as Goulding and Melua and Lissie, give or take some levity. What&#39;s happening with all of these artists is, whether it&#39;s me or them, they&#39;re all congealing together in a &quot;I like this bloc&quot; that I can&#39;t seem to differentiate. And it might JUST be my problem, but then why are these other ones popping out so readily? With Marina, I think the unexpected key in her name is &quot;AND THE DIAMONDS.&quot; I&#39;m clearly listening for the Diamonds, Marina&#39;s voice being an integral component but her Voice -- what she has to say -- being secondary to the overall impression.
